Nexus, the Year in Review

Nexus

It has been another exciting year for Nexus — we’ve launched new partnerships, welcomed new creators to the platform, and we’ve continued to grow with long-time partners. To wrap up the year, we want to share some key metrics that we’re excited about.

25% of purchases on Nexus in 2021 included a tip!

Keep in mind, video games are a commodity, so any customer could buy the exact same game from other retailers for the same base price. So, the fact that people tip the content creator on top of purchasing the game goes to show that folks truly want to support creators.

Total creator earnings grew by 573% in the past year!

This is a testament to the fact that the community of creators and the number of games available for sale on Nexus have grown. We wouldn’t be here without the trust and support from each of our partners.

The average earnings per creator on Nexus grew by 120% in 2021!

This metric is exciting for several reasons. First and foremost, our mission is to drive value to creators. As we watch their average earnings grow, we are better able to measure the impact Nexus has had on their livelihood, and can better anticipate our growing role in their lives.

The top-selling game on Nexus this year is Last Epoch!

We’ve gotten to work on and be part of some pretty exciting stuff with the Eleventh Hour team, including a custom Supporter Pack for Zizaran. If you haven’t already picked up Last Epoch, we HIGHLY recommend that you do.

In addition to partnering with Eleventh Hour, we’ve also begun to partner with Games-as-a-Service Publishers such as Grinding Gear Games and Hi-Rez Studios. Sales for their titles have continued to perform well via creators’ Nexuses and have spurred the addition of new features on Nexus.

The top-selling creator on Nexus in 2021 is Karmakut!

Karmakut has worked with us since our Alpha and is the reason behind many features & games on Nexus. As Karmakut’s audience has grown, so too have his sales on Nexus, maintaining a steady pace to match. As he has proven time and again, Nexus is a platform where creators can bring additional value to the content they’re already providing, converting purchases they’ve inspired into a valuable income stream.

If you are a content creator or publisher on Nexus, or someone who has supported a creator through Nexus, we thank you! You’ve made 2021 an excellent year to be a content creator, and with your help, we hope that 2022 will be even more exciting!

We’re looking forward to adding new features and expanding into new gaming niches in 2022!
